Maddie Jane Designs

 

Hi!

I'm Maddie, an aspiring designer currently enrolled in the Savannah College of Art and Design's Masters of Architecture Program. I recently completed a one year graduate architecture program at Columbia University, where I studied for one semester in New York City and one semester abroad in Paris, France. Traveling and studying abroad during this program was a vital experience which exposed me to many more architectural and decorative traditions.

 

I also have over two years of professional experience working as a design assistant at Alexa Stevenson Interior Design, a boutique residential design firm located in Athens, Georgia. I held this position as an undergraduate student at the University of Georgia until I graduated in the spring of 2024 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in interior design with two minors: business and design & media.

From photography, to interiors, architecture, and most recently, furniture design, I have always loved telling and retelling stories through new artistic mediums.

I hope to incorporate each of these creative pursuits into my practice of residential design -- I belief that homes should not only reflect the personalities of their inhabitants but also narrate a compelling story of their heritage. 

​

I draw inspiration from the designers of the past, particularly those who epitomized the holistic approach to design, seamlessly blending architectural, interior, and furnishing elements to craft cohesive and immersive environments. My aspiration is to emulate their legacy and, ultimately, establish a comprehensive architecture and design firm specializing in historic preservation and bespoke residential projects.
